We began production on the show in in early October, this began in music class and drama class. The show was set to be a variety show showing off many aspects of GAA and migration. The show was being constructed by Mr. Coughlan and Ms. Coyle

Some of these songs included Dark Rosaleen, Johnie is the fairest man, Some nights, When I play for the county and a special song written by are very own Ms. Coyle, She named her masterpiece the TY Calypso which was a GAA themed Jamaican song.
Next it took off in Drama. We rehearsed many speeches, dramas and skits, These included many young men of twenty said goodbye, Philadelphia Here I come and a unique story about the Genesis of the GAA.
Since we weren't allowed to do a musical we integrated Grease Lightning into it by basing it on the All Ireland Hurling Final. The songs included Born to hand jive and We go together, the dancing was choreographed by Angela Didek.

Reflection
To produce a show to be shown to a live audience is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We were given very little finance towards are project, only with the help of a €1000 grant were we able to pay for lightning and sound. Our was written and produced by James Coughlan our vice principal, In my opinion I feel he did well but I think the script would have been better if collaborated a bit more on it. Our show was unique showing off different talents. My part in the show may not of been huge but I got to sing, dance, act and lead the Irish against the English in our cheap sword fight scene. The dancing was fun and I'll never forget them as long as I live. I'm not a great singer so I didn't have to perform solo. I got to have a headset mic in my acting scene, You fell so powefrul when your taking. Overall I think the show was a great opportunity and the made the best out of a bad situation.
