On the 11th of October, Paddy Daly who was part of the young SVP conference, came to our school to do a follow up talk. This talk was focused on helping the less advantaged. Paddy started off the talk by playing a little game. The game involved stand up and sitting down when every you heard the letter B. He then engaged us even more by giving us a sweet each. He told us about the work Saint Vincent de Paul do. He told us about his time in Calcutta and Haitai. He showed us a video of a father and his son doing an Iron man. The son had a disability so he had to be carried by the father. He rounded up his talk by giving us ideas on how to get involved in activities to help the less advantaged.
I thought his talk was very good, he really gave me an insight to what life was like in poor unfortunate areas, The video he showed was very inspirational, He talked with great confidence and passion towards his work. After his speech had ended he asked us to give him some feed back by putting a green(good), yellow(ok), or red(bad) piece of paper into a box. I put a green piece of paper in the box because I thought he was good.
